YouTuber Saberspark is currently trending on social media but not for positive reasons.
The content creator is facing serious allegations of sexual assault by an unidentified person who wishes to remain anonymous.
The controversy began when a testimony by the alleged victim was posted on X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday.
The statement was posted by the account BronyFandont, who further claimed that YouTuber ILoveKimPossibleALot would also post a video exposé.
However, they later revealed that the exposé would not be released in the foreseeable future and pleaded that “the focus should be on the victim's story.”
In the testimony, the accuser revealed that they connected with Saberspark online at the age of 18.
The alleged victim was in high school when they developed a “parasocial crush” on the 36-year-old after watching a video essay in 2011.
They also claimed that he invited them to his hotel room in 2012 after they went to a pony convention.
The testimony states that after having a small talk with his accuser, Saberspark sexually violated the alleged victim, leading them to feel “ashamed for not trying to stop the interaction.”
It is also alleged in the statement that Saberspark met his accuser in 2013 at another convention, where he forced them to have a relationship with him and subjected them to further assault.
Following the allegations, it was revealed on Saberspark’s Discord server that the streamer would refrain from any online activity for the remainder of the week.
Saberspark is a YouTuber and Twitch streamer known for Just Chatting and gaming content. The gamer began his YouTube journey in 2007, where he has over 2 million subscribers.
