Jade Thirlwall takes dig at Simon Cowell as she opens up about the toll of stardom

X Factor is known for launching many big artists to fame including One Direction, Little Mix, James Arthur and more.

Little Mix became the first ever group to win the show in 2011 which shot them to global stardom.

The four-piece group consisting of Jade, Leigh-Anne, Perrie and Jesy went on to enjoy international fame but it came with a cost.

Now the group is on hiatus as the members have taken a solo music route.

Jade opened up about fame after Little Mix and how it took a toll on her life in a new episode of The Assembly.

When asked if she regretted “selling her soul by finding fame”, Jade replied “Maybe a little bit in the beginning.”

“I was so young and I just signed on the dotted line. But as the years have gone by I’ve learned more and more about the industry.”

The singer also shared her thoughts on the problematic X factor judge and record executive Simon Cowell saying “it’s the end of that era” but she can not say if “Simon Cowell specifically has ended”.
