Stephanie March attended the City Harvest Presents The 2025 Gala: Carnaval in N.Y.C. where she discussed a potential return to Law & Order: SVU.

She took on the role of beloved character Alexandra “Alex” Cabot as a series regular for four seasons and appeared in several episodes afterwards.

“I think it would depend on the story, but they've got some good writers. Never say never, right?” the actress told People.

She gave the power to the fans, adding, “I guess if people still write, you could do a write-in campaign. That would be my only suggestion.”

March also revealed that she still sees some of her castmates regularly, “The good news is I get to see Chris [Meloni] and Mariska [Hargitay] and BD [Wong] and all of those other wonderful people with regularity, so that's good.”

On what she hopes is next for them, she said, “I just hope they keep their jobs like the rest of us. That's the most you can hope for any actor right now. Just keep ... our jobs.”

The show influenced March’s decision to work with victims of sexual abuse in Democratic Republic of Congo, specifically the episode titled Witness, “I remember it very clearly. And it was kind of stuck in my head at the time," she said in a previous interview, "And so I have to believe that to some degree, everything happens for a reason. I'm not sure that when I got the job, I intended for this to happen, but once I had the job, I became pretty deliberate about it because the subject matter I found disturbing and compelling. It was just not something I could put away when I came home at night from work.”
