Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is continuing his streak of giving hot takes and controversial opinions.
The Yeezy founder recently admitted to having an inappropriate relationship with his cousin when the two were teenagers and also released the song titled COUSIN.
Ye also recently did a Twitch livestream with Digital Nas where he claimed that Playboi Carti showed up to his hotel with a gun.
That brings us to Saturday, when the 47-year-old took to X, formerly Twitter, to declare his top three rappers in contemporary hip-hop.
Ye wrote his name first in the unnumbered list followed by Drake and Top5.
It is unclear whether Ye believes that he is better than Drizzy as he used GOAT emojis right next to their names.
A salute emoji accompanied Top5, suggesting that he is not as good as the other two on the list but still deserves to be in the top three.
The declaration comes amid Ye’s public support for Drake in his ongoing lawsuit against Universal Music Group (UMG).
The Gold Digger artist also recently teased a possible collaboration with the God’s Plan singer as he reshared a fan’s post on X that pleaded with him to reconcile with Drake.
The two iconic artists last shared the stage at the Free Larry Hoover Benefit Concert in Los Angeles in 2021. The same year, Ye and Drizzy went head to head after simultaneously releasing their albums, Donda and Certified Lover Boy.
