Prince William and Kate Middleton are heading back to where their love story first began and royal fans are swooning.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are set to celebrate their 14th wedding anniversary next week with a special trip to the Isle of Mull in Scotland, which is not far from the University of St Andrews, where their love story first blossomed over two decades ago.

The couple, who first met in 2001 as students at St Andrews, will spend April 29 and 30, their anniversary week, undertaking a series of royal engagements across the Isles of Mull and Iona, spotlighting community connection and environmental conservation.

While on Scottish soil, William and Kate will go by their local titles, the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay and for them, the trip is as much about celebrating love as it is duty.

Their itinerary includes, a stop at Tobermory, where they’ll visit a local community hub and artisan market showcasing the island’s creators, a tour of a local croft to explore sustainable farming and hospitality; and a visit to an ancient woodland on day two, where they’ll meet the Mull and Iona Ranger Service, known for its conservation and biodiversity efforts.

When did William and Kate tie the knot?

The pair married on April 29, 2011, in a breathtaking ceremony at Westminster Abbey attended by royals, celebrities, and world leaders.

Kate stunned in a Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen gown, and William stood at the altar in full military dress, flanked by his brother, Prince Harry, as best man.

The couple is now parents to son, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six.
