Khloe Kardashian, an American media personality, says she doesn’t allow her seven-year-old daughter, True Thompson, to attend sleepovers and her explanation is likely relatable to the majority of parents.
The host of the podcast, Khloe in Wonder Land, explained that after watching too many crime shows, she’s now afraid to let her only daughter spend the night away from home.
In the most recent episode of her show, the 40-year-old spoke with the 55-year-old CEO of the UFC.
Kardashian, who also has a two-year-old son named Tatum, stated during the episode, “I don’t let my kids sleep anywhere. I have strict rules about it."
She continued, “'Times are different, so I won’t let my daughter, or my son, who’s 2½, but they’re not allowed to have sleepovers just because I’m one of those types of… I just — I think too much. I’ve watched too much Dateline.”
While children in elementary school can benefit from sleepovers by developing their independence, social skills and flexibility, Khloe's stance reflects her deep concerns for her children's safety.
Crime shows, particularly Dateline, have made Khloé Kardashian wary of letting her children attend sleepovers, as she fears for their safety after watching too many real-life crime stories.
