Johnny Depp’s bold new look sparks rumours of Hollywood revival

American actor Johnny Depp, known for his diverse roles, has built a reputation for dramatically transforming his appearance to suit the characters he portrays.

The 61-year-old makes a successful return to the screen as the star once again reinvents himself, appearing almost unrecognisable in his latest role in Day Drinker.

The musician is back on set as production for his latest project officially kicked off earlier this week.

Moreover, the Jeanne du Barry actor has aged himself grey for the new movie, giving up his dark hair and facial hair. He also wears piercing blue contacts and his face looks fuller.

He has swapped his usual glasses and hat for a simple navy suit and an open-collared blue shirt, his grey hair tied back from his face.

Day Drinker marks Depp’s most ambitious bid to revive his film career, following years of controversy surrounding his highly publicised divorce from ex-wife, Amber Heard.

In the three years since his courtroom battle, the star has directed the World War II drama Modì, Three Days on the Wing of Madness and appeared in smaller productions including the French historical film, Jeanne du Barry.

Where is Johnny Depp filming Day Drinker?

Johnny Depp is giving his all in his upcoming film role. Lionsgate revealed on Monday, April 14, that Day Drinker, a Marc Webb film starring Depp, Madelyn Cline, and Penélope Cruz is currently in production in Spain.
