The production of Much Ado About Nothing from the Jamie Lloyd Company starring Tom Hiddleston and Hayley Atwell has just completed its run at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
Breaking the West End box office record, it came to an end with the five highest grossing weeks of a production in West End’s history.
This comes after the company’s production of Romeo and Juliet, which was the highest grossing production at Duke of York’s Theatre.
Having marked the complete first year for Jamie Lloyd Company as an independent production house, they have in their portfolio works like The Effect, Romeo and Juliet, Sunset Boulevard, The Tempest and Much Ado About Nothing.
They have made it their mission to make accessible shows, providing tickets costing £25 at all levels of the theatre. 5000 seats were reserved for this in Romeo and Juliet, while 25,000 were held for The Shakespeare season at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
Their production of Sunset Boulevard is still running on Broadway, meanwhile Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Evita will be opening in summer at The London Palladium.
