Australian actor Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness were once considered one of the most stable couples in Hollywood, however the fairytale wedding is diving into divorce drama.
The couple got married in 1996 in Melbourne and separated in 2023 after 27 years of marriage.
With no prenup agreement signed before marriage, the former couple is now headed for a messy divorce settlement.
The divorce was set to be finalised in January but what could have been peaceful has turned ugly as the actor’s former lover now wants a huge chunk of his multi-million dollar fortune.
"Hugh and Deborra-Lee have not yet filed for divorce because they're struggling to reach an agreement on how to divide their assets”, an insider revealed to RadarOnline.
The X-Men star started dating co-star Sutton Foster publicly after a year of separation from Furness, with whom he co-parents two adult children, Oscar, 24 and Ava, 19.
Hugh Jackman could not have biological children as his then-wife suffered two miscarriages that made them adopt their first child, Oscar, in 2000 and later went on to adopt their daughter Ava.
