Lucy Markovic 'Australia’s Next Top Model' star dies at 27

Lucy Markovic, the star of Australia’s next Top Model, passed away on Friday at the age of 27 due to a brain arteriovenous malformation.

Fashion designers Donatella Versace and Cartia Mallan have spearheaded an emotional celebrity tribute for the late model.

The 69-year-old Italian fashion designer posted a priceless image of Lucy walking the runway at a glitzy event along with some heartbreaking remarks as the caption.

Donatella wrote, “Rest in peace, beautiful girl,” and included a white dove emoji.

After undergoing emergency surgery and entering a coma earlier this week, the 27-year-old runner-up on season 9 of the reality TV show passed away from an AVM.

Another tribute for her was Cartia, who wrote “Heartbroken to say the least. My beautiful lucy sadly passed today after putting up a strong fight.”

She continued, “All my love to her family during this time. I can't even fathom this, she was so young. Deeply blessed to have known her. Rest in peace my angel girl.”

On Friday, Lucy’s partner shared the news of her passing on her Instagram story.

The statement said “Dear friends and family, I regret to inform you that Lucy has passed away.”
