Prince Harry’s latest court appearance took a chaotic turn when his bodyguards detected a potential security threat.
The Duke of Sussex was attending a High Court hearing in London regarding his ongoing battle over UK security arrangements. The disruption came during a short break before a private session, when a woman in the public gallery suddenly stood and called out, "I support you Prince Harry," as he walked past.
Harry’s longtime bodyguard David Langdown and another aide had already clocked the woman’s unusual behaviour.
According to observers, she arrived late, fidgeted constantly, and was seen switching between two phones and a notebook — raising red flags for the Duke’s team.
As soon as the woman shouted, Langdown and his colleague shielded Harry and led him out. She then turned to reporters and accused them of driving Harry away from the UK: “If you’re members of the press, you’re the reason he’s not in England.”
She was promptly removed by court security, and only then did the Duke return for the closed-door session.
Earlier in the hearing, Harry was visibly frustrated.
At one point, he tossed his pen and pulled a face of disbelief as arguments from the Home Secretary’s legal team were presented. The court heard that Harry’s taxpayer-funded protection was removed following his decision to step back from royal duties and live abroad.
