American actor Will Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock at the 94th Academy Awards in 2022 in response to a joke Rock made about Smith’s wife Jada Smith’s shaved head.
Smith was then hit with a lot of backlash and demands for him to be “cancelled”, which he addressed in his recent music as he attempted to make a comeback.
Rock is reportedly not happy with the way Smith has tried to cash out the incident and believes the actor is “arrogant and self-serving”, according to RadarOnline.
In his new album Based on a True Story, the 60-year-old raps about the incident and the response that followed saying “Will Smith is cancelled, You can’t cancel no icon”.
According to the source, Rock is “absolutely seething over the latest antics of Will”.
The comedian believed that Smith’s ‘“changed man” persona is all a lie and he will remain arrogant while putting on a facade image that serves him only.
