Jake Paul speaks up about flopped Disney career

YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul sat down for an interview with People where he opened up about his short term career as a Disney star.

"Man, it was just a fun time to be honest," he admitted. "I think it was a good kickstart to my career, because I was the first-ever influencer on TV."

"I think that really set a lot of things into motion for me, and I learned a lot about acting and media and all that stuff," Paul added.

Currently starring in the reality series, Paul American which follows him and his brother, Logan Paul, he used to star in the series, Bizaardvark alongside Olivia Rodrigo.

“Two best friends post entertaining videos on a website and team up with other users to create a high-quality database,” reads the synopsis of the series.

It was revealed halfway into filming the second season that Paul would be leaving the show. He later revealed that he was fired due to a KTLA news segment which reported disruptive behaviour and disturbance from his house.

“They were like, ‘Okay. We want to expedite this process of weaning you off the show,’ ” he had told The Hollywood Reporter, “And I was like, ‘Yeah, that’s fine. But it’s going to look like you guys fired me.’ And they were like, ‘We can say that we mutually parted ways and blah, blah, blah.’ And that’s the reality of the story.”
