Seems like Sheff G is going inside for a long time.
The rapper and 31 other individuals were recently indicted for various crimes, including "committing shootings, possessing guns, and using stolen cars during shootings against gang rivals."
Prosecutors alleged that Sheff is an affiliate of 8 Trey Crips and 9 Ways gang, who committed violent crimes in Brooklyn.
Most notably, Sheff was accused of his involvement in a mass shooting that resulted in the killing of 23-year-old Theodore Senior, a rival gang member.
On Wednesday, Sheff made a court deal and pleaded guilty to attempted murder and conspiracy charges.
Prosecutors initially tried for Sheff to be sentenced to life. However, Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Danny Chun sentenced the 26-year-old to five years in prison and an additional five years of supervised release.
Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez used strong words for Sheff in an official statement.
“Notoriety could not shield this defendant from justice. He used his fame to fund and direct violence, terrorizing our streets, and though we sought a much longer sentence, he will now be held to account," Gonzalez said on Sheff.
The No Suburban singer was charged with orchestrating Senior’s murder and funding Brooklyn gang activity using his music earnings.
