Soulja Boy’s accuser has broken her silence.
The unnamed woman gave her testimony earlier this week, accusing Soulja Boy of sexual abuse.
According to Courthouse News Service, the accuser, who has been listed as "Jane Doe" in the court documents, worked as Soulja Boy's personal assistant from December 2018 to late 2020.
Doe gave her testimony in a civil trial in Santa Monica after suing the 34-year-old for sexual assault, kidnapping and violations of labour laws.
The plaintiff alleged that she was a victim of repeated abuse and threats from Soulja Boy, who also threatened to “send shooters” to her mother's house.
The testimony also detailed a disturbing account of Soulja Boy allegedly recording an explicit video of the victim and hitting her multiple times in the footage. The video was intended to blackmail Doe.
Soulja Boy’s attorney denied the allegations by saying Soulja Boy had a romantic but volatile relationship with Doe and that she was never employed by the rapper.
The attorney previously attempted to dismiss multiple causes of action in the lawsuit brought by the accuser.
However, Santa Monica Superior Court Judge Mark H. Epstein denied the motion, ruling that the lawsuit can move forward.
The trial officially began on March 13 with Doe giving her testimony on March 19 and 20.
