Leonardo DiCaprio returns to action in ‘One Battle After Another’ teaser
'One Battle After Another' stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor and Sean Penn
The first teaser for the flick One Battle After Another from writer-director, Paul Thomas Anderson has been released by Warner Bros.
It stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor and Sean Penn. Set to release on September 26, it will be Anderson’s first film since the release of the critically acclaimed Licorice Pizza in 2021.
“When their evil enemy resurfaces after 16 years, a group of ex-revolutionaries reunites to rescue one of their own's daughter,” reads the synopsis.
It is said to be the director’s most expensive film to date, as Variety reported that it had cost upwards of $100 million to make, with the latest reported amount being $140 million.
Despite Licorice Pizza’s great critical response, it failed majorly to measure up to its $40 million budget. The flick’s breakout star, Alana Haim will be reuniting with the director for One Battle After Another.
Other cast members also include Benicio del Toro, Wood Harris, Shayna McHayle and Chase Infiniti.
The production for the movie took place in California, with additional filming taking place in El Paso, Texas.
It is also the sixth feature collaboration between the director and the composer, Johnny Greenwood.
