Kensington Palace issued a major update on Prince William after the future King expressed his sadness over the death of a notable figure.
As per the delightful photos released on the Prince and Princess of Wales' official Instagram account, King Charles' eldest son was seen honouring extraordinary individuals during the investiture ceremony on Tuesday.
Notably, William honoured the lifelong anti-bullying campaigner Alex Holmes with a royal OBE.
Moreover, three more individuals received prestigious recognition from the Prince of Wales.
The Palace's official penned alongside the pictures, "Congratulations to all those receiving their honours today at Windsor Castle!"
It is important to note that the Palace shared an update on William's key task after he released a personal message, expressing his sadness over the demise of the last surviving Battle of Britain pilot, John "Paddy" Hemingway, who died at the age of 105.
He wrote, "I was sad to hear about the passing of John 'Paddy' Hemingway this morning, the last of 'The Few.'"
"We owe so much to Paddy and his generation for our freedoms today. Their bravery and sacrifice will always be remembered. We shall never forget them. W."
