‘White Lotus’ star Walton Goggins spills about THAT surprise appearance

Walton Goggins, an actor most recently seen in The White Lotus, opened up about the special appearance from his long time friend, Sam Rockwell on the series.

He has made his way to the show as Frank, an old friend of Rick Hatchett (Goggins) who he enlists in Thailand to help take on a personal matter.

Rockwell’s role on the show is the second most major surprise in Season 3, as Greg, played by John Gries, also appeared in episode 1.

Goggins told USA Today about his friend’s part on the show, saying, "Sam is one of my best friends, and he's also one of my heroes. It was riddled with anxiety because we know each other so well, and I certainly didn't want to let him down."

"The first words that came out of our mouths, it was as if we were these people our whole lives," he added, "And it was like we truly had met up after leading this kind of criminal expat life forever. It was everything that I had hoped it would be."

Saying that viewers "don't know the story between Rick and Frank" but that their story "says a lot about excess and how one lives one's life."
