Meghan Markle’s Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, is once again under fire—this time from health experts who are warning viewers about her DIY bath salt recipe.
During an episode of her lifestyle series, the Duchess of Sussex is seen mixing a homemade bath soak for her friend and longtime makeup artist, Daniel Martin. Meghan casually adds Epsom salt, Himalayan salt, arnica oil, and lavender oil—all without providing any measurements or dilution guidelines.
When a staff member asks about proper quantities, Meghan shrugs it off, saying: “Quite a bit.”
However, health professionals are raising red flags over her carefree approach to essential oils and bath salts, warning that improper usage could lead to skin irritation and other health risks.
Speaking to GB News, health expert Jennifer Christopherson expressed concerns over Meghan’s lack of knowledge about essential oils and their safe use.
"Don't try this at home! You can't just dump an essential oil in, give it to a friend, and be like, 'Hey, have fun.' Get that whole thing out of your mind, what she did," Christopherson said.
She continued, “Based on that, she doesn’t know about essential oils—I can tell you that right now. So just use caution. Just use care.”
While Epsom salt and Himalayan salt are commonly used for relaxation, essential oils like arnica and lavender require proper dilution to avoid skin irritation or allergic reactions. Health experts warn that dumping essential oils into a bath without proper dilution can cause burning, rashes, or sensitivity issues.
