Rapper Shawn Carter, famously known as Jay-Z, was accused by an Alabama woman, later identified as Jane Doe, that he assaulted her when she was 13-years-old in 2000.
The lawsuit has taken multiple turns between the plaintiff and defendant with the rapper denying claims amid being embroiled in the Sean “Diddy” Combs case. Doe went on to pull back from statements however, another twist has stirred up drama in the ongoing controversy.
Doe has pleaded masses not to trust the video made public by Jay-Z’s private investigators. As reported by TMZ, Doe claims that she was not “calm, natural, or at ease.” when she was being interrogated.
Doe said she “trembled the entire time we spoke.” The accuser went on to say that she never turned her back from her previous statement of Jay-Z assaulting her. “I never stated (whether once or 4 times) that Mr. Carter did not assault me.”
In the previously released video, the private investigators could be heard asking Doe if the rapper had not assaulted her to which she said “Yeah”.
In the released tapes, the woman claimed that the lawyer, Tony Buzbee, pushed her to file the case against the rapper. Clearing up the statement she said “He was the one that kind of pushed me towards going forward with him.”
