Jennifer Hudson faced unexpected situation during her latest outing with boyfriend, Common.
On Tuesday, March 4, former The Voice judge sat courtside with her partner during the game in which the Warriors faced the Knicks.
The prime-time matchup was hosted at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, New York.
In a moment, the star's pleasure turned into sorrow as the ball missed by Miles McBride ended up slamming into the Spotlight singer’s face.
As per Sports Illustrated, her beau attempted to block the hit but ended up doing more harm as his hand unintentionally crashed against her face.
The mishap was spotted by a commentator who interrupted his co-host saying, “Protect Jennifer Hudson!”
However, the damage was done, and as the NBA player and the rapper were making sure that Hudson was alright, her designer glasses couldn’t bear the hit.
The designer accessory went flying off of her face which made Hudson more embarrassed amidst the whole ordeal.
Concerned fans took to X to discuss the incident with one writing, “Protect Jennifer! Hope she is ok.”
Another echoed the same sentiment, “Poor girl hope she’s ok.”
A third one mentioned, “(Protect her) at all costs! That’s the world’s youngest female EGOT winner in history!”
It is important to note that Hudson is one of the 21 esteemed celebrities who have earned the EGOT winner status. EGOT stands for Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony.
