Jimmy Fallon, who remained part of Saturday Night Live in early years of career, got candid about his first time on the show.
Taking to X—formerly known as Twitter, the four-time-Emmy winner posted his 24-year-self, auditioning to enter comedy world, ahead of 50th anniversary of the American late-night show.
The clip featured nervous Jimmy taking the stage, as he does “some celebrity impressions.”
In four minutes, he impersonated celebrities like Cristopher Walken, Jerry Seinfeld, and Colin Quinn.
As the funny man got comfortable, he took out a guitar to copy famous rock bands as part of his skit.
The 50-year-old star thanked the creator of the program in the caption, and specially mentioned Grammy-nominated comedian Adam Sandler.
The video captioned: "My SNL audition. I was so nervous. I want to thank Lorne Michaels for everything. (And @AdamSandler.)"
Fans were delighted to see Grammy-award winner’s young face, as one user wrote: “That was fantastic Jimmy. Easy to understand why they chose you.”
Another admirer nodded at The Tonight Show host’s anxiousness: “I love this. I can’t even imagine how nervous you must’ve been. I would’ve had a panic attack and been out of there!”
Many users looked up to the clip as an inspiration for the youth, where one fan commented: “this is a message for younger generation: it’s possible.”
For context, Jimmy Fallon became renowned comedian after debuting as featured player on Saturday Night Live comedy show (1998-2000) and later hosted his own Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
