Vancouver is gearing up for the Invictus Games opening ceremony this weekend, with a star-studded lineup and an inspiring week of competition ahead.
The two-hour spectacle will take place at BC Place on Saturday at 1:00 PM [PT], featuring performances by Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Katy Perry, Noah Kahan, Nelly Furtado, and Roxane Bruneau.
This year’s Invictus Games will welcome over 550 competitors from 23 countries, who will compete in adaptive sports across Vancouver and Whistler for the next eight days.
Founded by Prince Harry in 2014, the Invictus Games celebrate injured and wounded military personnel, providing them with a platform to showcase resilience and determination.
The medal design for Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 was created by artists from the Four Host First Nations: Levi Nelson (Lil’wat Nation), Mack Paul (Musqueam Nation), Ray Natraoro (Squamish Nation), and Olivia George (Tsleil-Waututh Nation).
The games officially begin on February 8 and will run until February 16.
