Meghan Markle has once again divided social media with her latest Instagram video, where she appears emotional while unveiling a special gift from Billie Eilish for a family that lost their home in the Los Angeles wildfires.

In the video, the Duchess of Sussex shares the story of a mother and daughter who were among the 12,000 families affected by the devastating California wildfires. The 15-year-old girl lost nearly all her possessions, including a Billie Eilish T-shirt that had been left in the washer before the fire.

"I said, 'Well, I don't know Billie Eilish, but I'm going to figure out how to get you this shirt.' I thought of everybody I knew, and I made a voice note and was like, 'Please, can someone get this voice note to Billie Eilish?'"

The video then shows Meghan opening a signed box full of Billie Eilish merchandise, which she later presents to the teenager.

Alongside the clip, she captioned the post: "Let's keep supporting those affected by the California wildfires."

While many praised Meghan for her kindness, others accused her of making the moment about herself rather than focusing on wildfire victims.

One critic on X wrote: "Someone’s lost their home, and she is gushing about how amazing she is for getting them some signed merch. This disaster tourism has now turned into disaster marketing."

Another echoed similar sentiments, calling the video "tone-deaf."
