Marvel's release of The Fantastic Four: First Steps teaser and movie poster met with heavy criticism.
The first impression of the movie left fans wondering if the studio used artificial intelligence(AI) to come up with the promotional poster.
It portrays public enthusiastically cheering as they hold banners of ‘We love Fantastic 4’ and ‘EARTH BELIEVES IN YOU’ high, capturing the scene with their retro cameras.
Fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to express their annoyance pointing out prominent glitches of finger count as seen in a hand waving flag on the left side of the portrait and a repetitive face of a lady.
Reacting to this, one user commented “stop using AI for your posters.” Another added “AI 'artwork'? You can afford to pay a real artist to provide you with real artwork.”
The rumors spread amid The Brutalist film controversy. The Oscar nominated movie was condemned for AI dialogue enhancement, raising authenticity concerns.
Marvel denied these claims of AI usage in the First Steps’ posters, stating traditional tools were utilized.
The trailer of action sci-fi, set to release on July 25, introduces the first Marvel family featuring Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, Ebon Moss-Bacharach as Ben Grimm, Ralph Ineson as Galactus and Julia Garner as Silver Surfer.
