The trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps has officially been dropped by Marvel Studios, with the film being set to be released on 25 July.
The reboot stars Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch.
The trailer begins by showing the team sitting together to have dinner as they reflect over their journey so far, as Reed reminisces over how they had been before getting their powers.
"Whatever life throws on us, we'll face it together. As a family," added Sue.
Marvel Studios’ executive Kevin Feige previously dropped some hints about what fans could expect from the reboot, “A lot of people know this origin story. A lot of people know the basics. How do we take that and bring something that they’ve never seen before? We’ve set a very high bar for ourselves [by] bringing that to the screen.”
In contrast to the previous films, this is set in a 1960s style, with the film’s director Matt Shakman adding that they would be going on their journey in a throwback aesthetic.
"We're not just doing the '60s, we're doing retro-future '60s," he stated. "It's part what you know from the '60s, but part what you’ve never seen before."
