Cynthia Erivo is NOT engaged, reports say

Cynthia Erivo, a British actress and singer, attended the 2025 Grammy Awards where a particular ring triggered rumours that she is engaged.

All of the jewelry that she donned had been loaned, and her intricate manicures ensure that she can wear the rings only on certain fingers, says the source, according to People.

The source also added that the sparkling piece on her ring finger had only been a part of the outfit, and had no relation to any upcoming nuptials. 

While her fellow singer and Wicked co-star Ariana Grande notably missed the event, Ervio attended wearing a custom Louis Vuitton gown.

She took to the stage alongside Herbie Hancock as they performed a heartfelt tribute to Quincy Jones, who tragically passed in November 2024.

They performed their own rendition of the iconic track from Frank Sinatra, Fly Me to the Moon.

Discussing her personal life previously in an interview with Vanity Fair, she explained that she is “very tight-lipped with my relationships, ’cause I don’t think that my relationship is for anyone else but for me.”

"I spend so much of my life sharing everything — whether it’s my work or my soul or my life in speeches. I think I give enough of myself that I’m allowed to keep something for me,” the singer added.

She concluded, “And who knows, maybe I’ll change my mind at some point.”
