Brie Larson, an American actress, took to her social media to reveal her shocking transformation for her role in the production of Elektra at the Duke Of York’s Theatre in London.
Sharing a behind the scenes clip of her work, fans of the star were taken aback to see her hair shaved down to a short buzz cut.
She could be seen filming herself from a theatre dressing room, donning no makeup while she discussed the details of the upcoming production.
Back in November 2024, she had unveiled a new look where her hair had been shortened to a dark brunette pixie cut.
Besides the new content that was shared with both the Duke of York’s Theatre and the Theatre Royal Brighton, she wrote that working on the project was "the most special and energizing time."
The synopsis reads that the play follows a woman who is "haunted by her father's assassination" and has a "thirst for vengeance."
It is being directed by Daniel Fish, and will mark the first revival of the Sophocles play in over a decade.
Elektra had a set of pre-run shows at the Theatre Royal and will be making its way to the Duke of York’s Theatre on 5 February.
