Aespa, a Korean girl group, recently kicked off their world tour, SYNK: PARALLEL LINE in Seattle, where they brought on a special guest.

The guest turned out to be Naevis, which is a virtual idol that has been created for SM Culture Universe, first appearing in Aespa’s Black Mamba in 2021.

A clip from the show ended up going viral which shared how silent the crowd was when Naevis gave her solo performance.

Fans of the group then took to the comments section to criticize SM Entertainment for attempting to “force” the virtual idol on them.

One user commented, “Can someone tell SM that people don’t like the Naevis solo. Most the crowd was on their phones.”

Another revealed, “Before they actually released a Al solo I just thought the lore was weird in a good and unique way, when that released I immediately started disliking the lore a lot lol.”

“this is so funny like why is sm trying to force naevis so bad. like i know and get the lore and stuff but,” a third user criticized.

Other fans insisted that Naevis should be removed from Aespa’s setlist entirely, as a fan demanded, “petition to remove naevis solo from the setlist like immediately i’ve had enough.”
