Zac Efron on the mend after 'minor swimming' incident

Zac Efron is on the road to recovery after experiencing a major health scare on her vacation in Spain. 

On Friday August 2, the Scoob star had a minor swimming incident while using the pool, a representative for the star confirmed to PEOPLE.

Efron was rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment and was released the next morning. 

"He is fine," the rep said. 

Earlier this week, the High School alum made headlines with an appearance onstage during his performance at the Ushuaïa Ibiza Hotel and Beach Club in the Spanish City. 

In a video captured on TikTok the Firestarter actor was spotted walking onstage during Garixx's song. 

Having appeared in numerous projects like  The Iron Claw, Ricky Stanicky and a rom-com alongside Nicole Kidman titled the Family Affair. 

Back in June the co-stars opened up about their NSFW comedy and revealed that before being called The Family Name it had a much raunchier name. 

"It was called Motherf-----," explained Efron. Kidman added that it was, "Beeped out."

She joked, "Somehow that didn't make it onto the Netflix title." 

The star further added, "That made the script stay at the top of the pile, It's like, what on Earth could this be about?"
