Sophia Bush marks her first Pride Month since coming out

Sophia Bush celebrated pride Month with a heartfelt message!

Taking to her Instagram stories on Sunday, the 41-year-old penned an impactful message for the LGBTQ+ community.

“ You are perfect. No matter how long it might take, you’ll find your people. And they will help you find more and more of yourself. It’s worth it. You are worth it,” Bush wrote.

The One Tree Hill alum also reposted a quote alongside the caption from social media account We the urban that read, “ Pride is important because someone tonight still believes they are better off dead than being themselves.”

Pride Month kicked off on June 1 to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community in honour of the 1969 Stonewall Riots in New York.

To note, Bush came out as queer in April, leaving her fans surprised.

Back in April, Bush in a Glamour Essay released a statement describing her sexuality, “ As I came into myself, I already felt it was my home. I think I have always known that my sexuality exists on a spectrum.”

She added, ‘’ Right now I think the word that best defines it is a queer.”
