Jennifer Lopez reveals why she called off wedding with Ben Affleck in 2003

Jennifer Lopez has finally shared the reason behind her first split with now-husband Ben Affleck in 2003.

In her new documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told, the 54-year-old actress revealed that she and Ben broke up just three days before their wedding.

"Ben and I, we broke up three days before our wedding," J.Lo said.

She added, "We had a big wedding planned—14 ushers and bridesmaids—and three days before, we just crumbled under the pressure."

Concurring with the actress, Ben added, “When Jen and I broke up before, the catalyst for that was the massive amount of scrutiny around our private life.”

However, the two do not regret their decision to cancel the wedding in 2003, as the journey helped them to discover themselves, ultimately paving the way for their reunion in 2021.
