Liam Payne was moved to uncontrollable tears in a recent behind-the-scenes clip, which captured him sobbing inconsolably while recording his forthcoming album.

Taking a sneak peek over social media, the former One Direction heartthrob shared a video on TikTok ahead of releasing his latest single, Teardrops.

In the montage of short clips, the Night Changes crooner was seen breaking down in tears while also sharing some moments of joy with his teammates.

The video unfolded with a voiceover of Payne, 30, "There were a lot of teardrops shed in making these records, and for the first time, you really get a picture of what it was like for me each day of making this record."

Payne, who put his heart and soul into bringing the heartfelt track to life, shed light on the crux of his album, "This album literally is that whole last year for me. How I was feeling on those days is each record. It was a snapshot of that day."

Referring to the pain he went through, the Perfect singer added, "So you can even help someone through a tough time, help somebody celebrate something. That's really what I want to get across in this record, and that's the best part, I guess, about my job."

Notably, the History vocalist underwent severe scrutiny for controversial comments he made about One Direction on Logan Paul's podcast in 2022, followed by a break from the spotlight.

Last year in July, he explained the reason for his absence in a YouTube video and apologised to his fans.

Payne further revealed he spent 100 days in rehab after receiving backlash and was six months sober at that time.
