One Life to Live actress Amanda Elizabeth Davies, known for portraying the younger version of her real-life mother Erika Slezak in the series, has passed away at the age of 42.

The unfortunate news of the tragic demise of Amanda's was confirmed through a message on Slezak’s website on Monday, January 29.

"It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of Erika’s daughter, Amanda Elizabeth Davies, who died very suddenly," it was stated in the message.

"The family is heartbroken and would appreciate privacy at this time," the brief announcement was concluded with a request for privacy during the difficult time.

Amanda, notably portrayed the teenage version of her mother's character, Victoria "Viki" Lord, on ABC’s One Life to Live.

She appeared in several episodes in flashback scenes during the program's run in 2003.

Whereas, her mother, appeared in over two thousand episodes of the show from 1971 to 2013, as per IMDB.

Brian Davies, Amanda's father, is also an actor known for his roles in films such as American Gigolo, Convoy, and The Age of Innocence.

Amanda, whose cause of death has not been disclosed, is survived by her parents Slezak and Brian, as well as an older brother, Michael Davies, 44.

One Life to Live aired from 1968 until its cancellation in 2012 following a brief revival in 2013.

Television journalist Michael Fairman expressed his grief over Amanda's death on social media, sharing a heartfelt tribute along with a throwback picture of Slezak and Davies.

Fairman wrote, "This just broke my heart. My thoughts are with dear Erika at this time. I know how much she loved her children. [broken heart emoji]".
