Dakota Johnson's opening monologue on the latest episode of Saturday Night Live took a hilarious turn when she was joined by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon host and Justin Timberlake.
She kicked off her monologue as she took over the podium recounting that it was her first visit to Studio 8H in Rockefeller Center since her last appearance in 2015.
The Madame Web star quipped at the expense of Donald Trump and joked about how the media sometimes spins her jests in ways she didn't intend.
As Johnson, 34, mentioned that tonight's episode was a reunion for her and Timberlake, 42, who were co-stars in The Social Network, the Selfish singer made an impromptu appearance on stage.
The actress inquired if he was asked to come, to which the SexyBack crooner responded that he thought it was his cue.
After Johnson clarified to Timberlake that he was the musical guest, not the host, he humorously suggested being involved in sketches.
"Well, if you want me to be in sketches — I have hosted before," he quipped, raising his hand to indicate his hosting history of five times.
In response, the Persuasion actress raised both hands and in a playful tone remarked, "That was ten years ago."
She then added with a smile, "Well, I am happy you have chosen my show for your comeback."
During their friendly banter, Jimmy Fallon made a surprise appearance on stage, prompting the crowd to erupt in massive cheers, while the trio was seemingly confused.
After sharing a chaotic moment, the late-night host jokingly covered the situation saying, "I just want to say break up break a leg," then the singer and Fallon, 49, left the stage in a hurry.
