Lenny Kravitz is poised to receive the People’s Music Icon award, at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards, in a live ceremony scheduled to be aired on NBC, Peacock, and E! on February 18.

PEOPLE reported on Friday that the American singer-songwriter and actor is set to rock the stage of the glamorous ceremony featuring a multi-song rendition from his iconic music catalog.

The multi-hyphenate artist is being recognized with the award for his indelible mark on the rock genre, having delivered numerous chart-toppers including, American Woman, Are You Gonna Go My Way, and Fly Away.

With a career spanning over three decades, the Grammy Award-winning artist marked major milestones, selling over 40 million albums worldwide.

Not to mention, born to TV news producer Sy Kravitz and actress Roxie Roker, Kravitz’s vocal talent garnered him four consecutive Grammy Awards for best male rock vocal performance for Fly Away, American Woman, Again and Dig In from 1999 to 2002, respectively.

Tagging the singer in their joint post both People's Choice and NBC took to social media to announce the official news.

"This year’s Music Icon is the legend himself, LENNY KRAVITZ! [guitar emoji]," their  caption on Instagram post read.

The announcement was accompanied by a GIF featuring Kravitz’s photo in a circular frame with his moniker swirling around the image.

Several fans flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages.

One fan wrote with a red heart emoji, "Congratulations Lenny. Very much deserved."

"A very talented musician, one of the best," a second fan raved.

Meanwhile, others showered their love with a slew of red heart emojis in the comments section.
