Zayn Malik gives update on foot run over by car during rare appearance

Zayn Malik stepped back into the spotlight after nearly a six-year hiatus, but not without a twist of fate as his foot was run over by a car outside the venue.

In a viral video circulating on social media, the former One Direction member’s foot seemed to meet an unfortunate encounter with a passing car.

In the video, he was seen shuffling through the bustling crowd navigating his way during which he winced at a moment as the vehicle passed by, leaving his fans concerned and in towering rage.

One fan exclaimed, "OMG Is your foot okay? Who do I have to fight with?"

"What is wrong with people.. Zayn could’ve been badly hurt," another infuriated fan chimed in.

However, the fans were appeased by the Dusk Till Dawn hitmaker as he provided an update on his foot via an Instagram post on Saturday, Jan. 20. 

The singer posted a carousel of three pictures led by a chic selfie, it also featured a snapshot from the runway, and a close-up scuffed white sneaker imprinted with black tread marks.

The Night Changes singer assured fans in the caption, saying, "My foot is fine!!" with a playful touch, adding, "Thanks to my incredibly well-made shoes. [laughing & thumbs up emoji]."

In a shout-out to the show’s director, he tagged, "@kenzo @nigo," expressing gratitude, "Thanks for a great show!"

Shortly after the update, his fans flooded the comments section, voicing their relief and welcoming him back.

One fan shared, "Thank god I was worried about your toes man[crying emoji]."

A second fan sighed in relief, "I'm so glad your foot is okay. I love you so much Zayn!!!!"

"Glad to hear your foot is fine!! Great to see you! Missed u," another expressed.
