Kate Middleton undergoes abdominal surgery, cancels all engagements

The Royal family faces major setback as Kate Middleton gets hospitalized!

Kensington Palace announced on Wednesday that the Princess of Wales underwent planned abdominal surgery at the London Clinic.

" The surgery was successful and it is expected she will stay in hospital for 10 to 14 days before returning home to continue her recovery," read the statement.

" Based on the current medical advice she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter."

The statement further clarified, "She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible and her wish that her personal medical Information remains private."

" The Princess of Wales wishes to apologize to all those concerned for the fact that  that she has to postpone her upcoming engagements."

To note,  after being discharged from the hospital Kate will be at bed rest in Windsor.

Prince William proves he loves his wife as he plans to postpone all his duties and stay beside the Princess, take care of her and the kids.
