Baywatch star Carmen Electra set to legally change name

Carmen Electra has filed for a change of name.

As per court documents obtained by TMZ, the 51-year-old American actress and model, who was born Tara Leigh Patrick, requested to change her birth name to her stage name Carmen Electra.

Seemingly, the Baywatch star wanted to cap off 2023 with her birthname and tune in to the new year with her stage name as per court filings of December 29, 2023.

The Scary Movie alum has been going by her stage name, Carmen, since the early 90s when she rocked the screens with her breakthrough role in the series, meanwhile, the reason for suddenly changing her name legally is not clear yet.

In the past she has been married twice, however, she never added her husband’s name to change hers.

Carmen Electra marriages

CM tied the knot with Dennis Rodman, at the Little Chapel of the Flowers in Las Vegas on November 14, 1998.

According to Hollywoodlife, nine days into their marriage Rodman, 61, filed for the annulment of marriage claiming that he was in "unsound mind" when he got married to the songstress.

After her briefly lived marriage with the athlete the Good Burger actress exchanged vows with Dave Navarro on November 22, 2003.

The MTV reality series, Till Death Do Us Part: Carmen and Dave documented the wedding of the now-former couple.

Carmen and Jane’s Addiction lead guitarist and Ink Master host made numerous public appearances.

However, in a twist of fate, the pair announced they had split their ways on July 17, 2006, after two and a half years of marriage.

It was reported that time that Carmen filed for divorce on August 10, 2006, from Navarro, 54, which was finalized in February 2007.
