Lisa Bonet and Aquaman star, Jason Mamoa, are headed for divorce two years following their split.
According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, the outlet reported that The Cosby Show actress filed for the dissolution of marriage and cited the reason for their breakup as "irreconcilable differences."
The estranged couple, earlier in 2022, announced in a joint statement that they had parted ways after tying the knot on October 7, 2017.
However, as per the documents their date of separation is listed as October 7, 2020.
The court filings further revealed that the 56-year-old actress has been seeking joint child custody and hasn’t requested any spousal support for either side.
The Game of Thrones alum, 44, and Bonet share two teenage kids; 16-year-old daughter Lola and a 15-year-old son Nakoa-Wolf.
Not to mention Bonet is also the mother of actress and singer Zoë Kravitz, whom she welcomed with her former husband Lenny Kravitz.
Two years ago when the Cosby alum and Mamoa announced that they had split their ways for good they shared, "We have felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times… A revolution is unfolding and our family is of no exception..."
They added in the joint statement, "And so, we share our Family news that we are parting ways in marriage."
Shedding light on the decision to share the update on their relationship, the two disclosed that it was, "not because we think it’s newsworthy but so that as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty."
The two noted that "We free each other to be who we are learning to become," before adding, "Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life our children."
