Angelina Jolie’s six children find another father figure as her brother, James Haven, stepped in to look after his nieces and nephews following Brad Pitt and Jolie’s messy divorce drama.
Haven, 50, recently shed light on his bond with his sister and her kids in a candid conversation with Jessica Entner on her 90Who10 podcast.
He disclosed that after witnessing the Maleficent star’s personal life that has been "unfolded in the public eye" he went on to extend his helping hand to his younger sister.
The Breaking Dawn actor told the host, "That’s where it all started, it started with the protection of her and her children – my nieces and nephews."
He shared that he managed his personal affairs in a manner that he could always be present to back up his sister whenever she needed his support.
"I set my life up so I can be present with whatever the situation. I want to be there for them or for her, whatever she’s going through," the elder brother of the Hollywood highest paid actress added.
Haven also disclosed that he was in touch with the kids during their parents' very public divorce.
As per PEOPLE cited, Jolie, 48, filed for divorce from Pitt, 60, on September 20, 2016, and cited the reason as irreconcilable differences.
Notably, she didn’t request child or spousal support but only requested physical custody of their six children and visitation for the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood star.
Nearly three years after the first filing the former couple was ruled legally single by a judge on April 13, 2019.
Meanwhile, the exes are still navigating their way for their kids' custody and an ongoing lawsuit over their shared wine business.
Jolie and Pitt are parents to 22-year-old Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt, Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt, 20, Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, 18, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, 17, and 15-year-old Knox Léon Jolie-Pitt and Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt.
