David Tennant set to host 2024 BAFTA Film Awards

David Tennant is all set to host the 2024 BAFTA Film Awards for the first time, which will take place at London's Royal Festival Hall on February 18.

Expressing delight over the hosting debut, the Doctor Who star said, “I am delighted to have been asked to host the EE BAFTA Film Awards and help celebrate the very best of this year’s films and the many brilliant people who bring them to life.”

As per Variety, the BAFTA CEO, Jane Millichip, also announced David as the host for the upcoming ceremony.

“We are over the moon that David Tennant will be our host for the 2024 EE BAFTA Film Awards,” she confirmed.

Jane further said, “he is deservedly beloved by British and international audiences, alike. His warmth, charm and mischievous wit will make it a must-watch show next month for our guests at the Royal Festival Hall and the millions of people watching at home.”

This announcement comes shortly after the unveiling of the BAFTA longlists for 24 categories. However, the final nominations will be disclosed on January 18, 2024.
