Jeremy Renner has recalled his 'unbelievable battle' of recovery from snowplow accident, revealing that his daughter Ava is 'reason number one' he survived.
The Marvel star took to his Instagram account on January 1, 2024, and expressed his love for his 10-year-old daughter.
“Reason Number One for my recovery is her,” he wrote alongside a black-and-white photo of himself with Ava.
“I asked her to wait for me when I first saw her January 14 as I arrived home. As I got better, she got better, less afraid. There is simply no better motivator to recover than to heal your family and friends,” The Avengers actor further wrote.
He continued, “With gratitude always, thank you all for your love and support this last full year.”
“I needed every ounce of goodwill and prayer,” Renner concluded.
Earlier, The Bourne Legacy actor made an appearance on CNN's New Year's Eve broadcast on Sunday, December 31, 2023, to talk about his journey to recovery over the past year.
“I'm just so blessed that I have so many things to live for,” he said during the show.
“I have a giant family, I have a 10-year-old daughter, [and] I would've disappointed and really messed up a lot of people's lives if I would've passed, and so there's a lot for me to get better for,” Renner added.
