In line with his annual tradition, former US President Barack Obama has penned a list of his favourite movies on X as he wraps up the year gone by and gears up for 2024.
As it turns out, Obama leans more towards Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer than Greta Gerwig’s Barbie.
Taking to Twitter, Obama shared, “Earlier this year, writers and actors went on strike to advocate for better working conditions and protections. It led to important changes that will transform the industry for the better.”
“Here are some films that reflect their hard work over the last year - including some like Rustin, American Symphony, and Leave the World Behind that we were proud to release through @HGMedia,” the tweet went on.
As soon as he dropped the list netizens were shocked to see the period drama Oppenheimer included, but not Barbie.
One commented, “'Barbie' missed the cut,” while another added, “Barbie tho.”
The third said, “Not a Barbie girl in a Barbie world I see.”
Although Barbie became a blockbuster all over the world it wasn't Obama’s go-to movie.
