Bobbie Jean Carter's cause of death has been disclosed by the officals.
As per police reports obtained by PEOPLE, she was found lifeless in the bathroom of her Florida residence on December 23.
The Hillsborough Sheriff’s department confirmed to the outlet that the sister of late Aaron Carter was pronounced dead after she was immediately transported to the hospital.
Moreover, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office reportedly initiated a death investigation that led the deputies to learn that Carter was on probation, stemmed from cocaine possession at the time of her death.
However, her roommates testified for Carter before any speculations would swirl, saying she had not used any narcotics since her release from prison.
The outlet revealed that she was detained by the police from late September to early November.
In addition to the friend’s statements, the officials confirmed that no signs of foul play were observed, adding, no narcotics or paraphernalia were found in Carter's bathroom or bedroom.
Carter, who died at the age of 41, shared an eight-year-old daughter, Bella, with late husband, who had been living with her maternal grandmother.
A new source told the outlet that Bella is staying with her father’s sister at this time.
Following the death of Bobbie Jean, who served as wardrobe stylist and makeup artist for Aaron's tours in early 2000s, the siblings' mother Jane gave a statement to TMZ.
She began, "I am in shock from learning of the sudden death of my daughter, Bobbie Jean."
Referring to the deaths of her kids, including Aaron, who breathed his last at the age of 34 in November last year, and Leslie Carter, who died young at 25 in January 2012, the mother added, "I will need to process the terrible reality of this happening for the third time."
