Kelly Clarkson opens up about her journey to stardom

Kelly Clarkson, just like other celebrities, has a crazy story behind her success!

On Wednesday's episode of The Kelly Clarkson show, the singer spilled the beans on the set of challenges she faced for her American Idol audition.

"I actually moved out to L.A. with some random person I did not know," she told the guest in a heart-to-heart conversation.

“She just needed a roommate. I was like, 'I'll do it,' and I moved from Texas to L.A. with a random stranger,” Clarkson continued.

As it turns out, the roommate decision could not last long. Further adding, "It burned down, so yeah, Then, I slept in my car for a few days and then tried out for a show called 'American Idol' so it all worked out."

To note, the talk show host was the winner of American Idol Season 1 in 2002.
