Shannen Doherty celebrated Christmas differently this year after it emerged that the actress was cancer free.
During the latest episode of her podcast, Let’s Be Clear with Shannen Doherty, she revealed that she was on the cusp of overcoming her battle with cancer.
The Beverly Hills 90210 alum was joined by her mother, Rosa Doherty, on the Christmas Day episode of her podcast when she said, "I even got to schedule my cancer infusion where I would be recovered completely from it for Christmas".
The revelation comes after the 52-year-old actress listed the things she is "incredibly grateful" for.
"This year is about just being incredibly grateful that we’re here and we get to spend time with the people that are by our sides through thick and thin," she said.
The Little House on the Prairie actress concluded, "I’m just thankful really to be here for it” before greeting those people “who don’t walk away, who love us unconditionally, and that have the same beliefs and morals and standards".
"For me, it's been a turbulent year, some massive health struggles, some massive personal struggles, a lot of heartbreak and fear," the Charmed alum shared during the episode.
Doherty was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015.
After multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, as well as a mastectomy, she was declared cancer free.
However, she relapsed and revealed in February 2020 that she had been diagnosed with stage four breast cancer.
In June, Doherty shared that the cancer had also spread to her brain.
As part of her grueling road to recovery, she underwent surgery to remove a tumor in her head.
