Prince William is set to give Princess Kate a popular Christmas gift, as claimed by a former royal butler.
The Daily Express on Saturday, December 23, published an article in which King Charles’ former butler, Grant Harrold gave a rare insight into the royal's Christmas festivities.
He also made a wild guess at what the Prince of Wales would be giving his wife this year.
Speaking on behalf of Slingo, Grant remarked on the upcoming royal holiday saying, "Christmas presents with the royals are always jokey. They’re always a bit of fun".
"But with William and Kate, I'm sure they will give each other something nice that they will like," he added.
The former royal staff continued, "Kate will probably get a watch or some jewelry from Wiliam".
The royal family gather at Sandringham every year on Christmas eve in a nod to their German Ancestry and exchange presents after afternoon tea.
Grant shed light on the festive season and how it was celebrated by the late queen, noting she was a "huge advocate" for christmas and His Majesty will surely keep her memory alive and gather everyone to celebrate.
"Christmas is very much a time for the royal family to be together. It’s a time of caring and being together for each other" he explained.
The former butler’s words on the Royal celebration comes after Harry wrote in his memoir, Spare, on how his family celebrated the festive season.
"The whole family gathered to open gifts on Christmas Eve, as always," the former royal detailed the tradition.
"A German tradition that survived the anglicizing of the family surname from Saxe-Coburg-Gotha to Windsor," he added.
