Prince William and Kate Middleton recently shared the Christmas holiday card, however the family photograph has sent the internet in a frenzy for all the wrong reasons.
According to US Weekly, an insider tipped the outlet that the Prince and Princess of Wales were "embarrassed" after the photoshop fail speculations surged over social media.
The source said to the outlet that the couple "were as shocked as everyone else" following the mixed and majorly negative reactions from the audience.
For the unversed, the couple earlier revealed their 2023 family’s portrait on Saturday, December 9, on their official Instagram handle.
The black-and-white photograph featured the family-of-five wearing matching outfits that included button-down shirts and paired with jeans.
The parents-of-three were posing along with their kids namely, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and five-year-old Prince Louis.
The couple captioned the post as, "Our family Christmas card for 2023 [emojis]".
Shortly after they posted the image, eagle-eyed followers rallied to the comments section and pointed out the apparent problems calling it to be "photoshop errors".
One social media user wrote, "There’s an extra leg in this picture!!!! How did the photographer not notice?? Omg [horror emoji]".
While a second user said, "Anyone talking about why prince louis is just missing a finger?!?".
At a first glance on the image, it appears the youngest son standing in front of his father resting his left hand on the chair’s armrest is missing a finger.
However, it’s not missing, Louis just set his hand on the armrest with his fingers spread wide, giving it a perception of a missing finger.
Meanwhile, one user affirmed, "Nope, i don't see any extra leg or any missing fingers. I didn't see anything wrong with this photo & that was my 1st impression."
"Try harder to just enjoy the family photo people [emoj]," the user added.
