Why Travis Kelce skips Taylor Swift's 34th birthday celebration

Taylor Swift turned 34 without her boyfriend Travis Kelce.

The Midnight hitmaker reportedly enjoyed her birthday bash in New York City while the Kansas City Chiefs tight end geared up with the team for their next take on the New England Patriots on Sunday.

According to PEOPLE, Kelce, 34, was in his hometown and stayed focused on his mandatory football practices. 

Notably, the team has lost the last two games.

The news comes after speculations swirled that the lovebirds will be celebrating Swift's birthday together, as it's her first birthday since they started dating.

Some reports emerged on Wednesday, December 13 that the NFL star was planning to throw an extravagant birthday bash for the Cruel Summer chart topper in New York City, but to swifties dismay nothing of the sort happened.

However, she enjoyed her pre birthday night out together with her love interest and his friends in Kansas City at a holiday party on Sunday.

The celebration was held at the post-game party before which the chiefs didn’t score well enough to win the game over the Bills.

Initially, Kelce appeared to be gloomy but Swift lifted up his mood and proved to be doting a girlfriend.

Later that night, the lovebirds were spotted packing on PDA and in several other snaps they can be seen posing with other friends as well.

Due to the early birthday celebration with his girlfriend Kelce managed to skip her bash held in New York City to stay focused on his upcoming game.

Sources close to Swift and Kelce shed light on his commitment to his professional and personal life.

As per the outlet cited, an insider said, "He is very focused on his career. He has a great relationship with his family. He has an amazing energy and approach to life".
